PASS THE CAN

Equipment: 1 #10 can

• With the group sitting in a circle, instruct them to pass a can around the circle using only their feet.  
• You may choose to do this as a timed activity or competition between teams.
• Once the group has mastered this, start a second can around the circle in the opposite direction from the first.
• Application.–Whenever an activity is timed, a sense of urgency for completing the task is created.  As Christians, we should feel a sense of urgency in our task of sharing Christ with a lost world.  Matthew 9:37-38 notes that “the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few”, and 1 Thessalonians 5 says that Christ will come “like a thief in the night.”  As in passing the can, each person must do his share, carefully, yet with a sense of urgency.
